Suspended in the dark, a single lonely jellyfish.

Seattle aquarium has a massive plexiglass ring in the middle of their main exhibition hall. In this ring there is a gentle current, and a series of lights that are constantly changing color. Normally, the jellyfish are grouped up and pretty tight together, but this little guy was all off on his own, fighting to swim upstream.

I decided to make an example out of him, but... in a good way.

There isn't much to say. I look at the world with a damaged lens, and use a camera to show people the world as I see it.

  • Drinking: jack and coke at 11 in the morning.
How discouraging. Back in spring 2009, I went to an aerial silk/fire dancing demonstration. I took some 300 pictures of the event.  Not. One. Decent. Shot.  And it wasn't all bad photography.  The event was set up in such a way that behind almost every shot were either performers from another act, people playing basketball, stage/crew workings, police arresting homeless for being poor around white people...  All manner of things to make the subject of the shot less awesome.  At least I have a LOT of material to practice my photoshop skills upon.
